HEROCLIX TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE NORTHTOWN Basic instructions:
During an official tournament setting, all objects, special objects, dice, markers and terrain, maps, and any other items needed to play are supplied (it is easier for me to keep track of things that way rather than try to figure out what belongs to whom). Tournaments run from noon to four on Sundays. This gives time for set-up, filling out the player sheet, and afterwards for handing out prizes. Each round is 50 minutes long, allowing time to log scores and determine the next round match-ups. Games are held Swiss style, with all sets (Street Fighter, GoW, LOTR etc) considered Modern legal. Generally there is a $3 buy-in for prize support, but only on days listed. The basic prizes (1st place and fellowship) are supplied by the store. Any additional items are covered by the buy-in (which generally come out of my own pocket).
The following types of games are: Modern 000 pt sealed (purchase1-2 boosters and design a team within the point value from what you pull, No feats or BFC's). Modern 000 pt Floor (at least half of the points must come from the most recent set). Modern 000 pt constructed (all pieces come from Modern (carded) sets). No feats or BFC's. Silver 000 pt constructed(any piece from any set is allowed, feats limited to 10% of cost on a per figure basis and only on those figures without character cards, no BFC's. Golden 000 pt constructed (any piece from any set is allowed, with 3 BFC's required, and feats at 10% max of build force). During an open event (non-tournament game), players bring their own items. Maps are kept at the store for convenience.

For each Session, the format is 600 point Silver age, with 10% feat limit on a per figure basis, and only allowed on non-carded figures, with no BFC's.
All Sessions will begin with all players assigned to the outer yellow rookie ring. Initially you may only challenge players in your ring. Challenges are made to those within your ring or the next ring in, and may only be made against those without a Fight token (unless the challenged player is yellow). A player may challenge another using a different format, but the challenged player may decline. A challenge in the standard format must be accepted. Once a challenge is accepted, a match is arranged, and players report the roster and results to the Judge. It is strongly suggested the matches be held at a legal venue for sign-off on the match (CBS Division or Northtown). The Judge then manages the board with the new results.
Yellow ring: All members of the yellow ring have an unlimited number of Fight tokens they may use. Your force can consist of any piece allowed for that session. You may utilize any piece in as many matches as desired. If you challenge a player on the yellow ring, the winner advances to the blue experienced ring. If you challenge a player on the blue ring and lose, you must challenge all other eligible blue players before being allowed to re-challenge that first blue player again. If you win, you move up to the blue ring and the loser moves down to the yellow ring.
Blue ring: Your force can consist of any piece allowed for that session. You may utilize pieces only once per every 5 matches you play (i.e. if you use Hulk #001 in match 1, you must wait until match 6 to use him again). You must wait until challenged to a match to attempt to win a Fight token. If a yellow player challenges you and wins, you drop to the yellow ring, and your opponent moves up to the blue ring. If you win the match, you gain a Fight token and may now challenge another player. If you challenge a player on the blue ring, the winner of the match advances to the red veteran ring. Alternatively, the winner may choose instead of moving up to red to drop the loser down to yellow. If you challenge a player on the red ring and lose, you must challenge all other eligible red players before you are allowed to re-challenge him again. If you win the match you move up to the red ring and the loser moves down to the blue.
Red ring: behaves the same as for the blue ring, with the exception that you may never re-use any figure in a match. However, you are not limited to the number of times in a row you may challenge the player in the center ring. You must challenge a player in the red ring and win to advance to the center ring if there is no one in the center ring.
Center ring: you wait for challenges from those in the red ring. If you lose a challenge, you drop to the yellow ring to start over, and the red player takes your spot in the center. If you win, you gain a Fight token. You must win three Fight tokens to win the title of Champion and win the prize for that session.
As per standard rules, initiative roll winner chooses the map. Maps are limited to the 24 by 36 size allowed for 2 player games.
